HELPING A SMALL BUSINESS OWNER SUCCESSFULLY TRANSFER OWNERSHIP

ABOUT SHUNGA TRAILS

HOME / ABOUT

Shunga Trails is a Dallas-based, veteran-owned small business with a mission to acquire and operate a mature company in the United States.

Whether a business owner like yourself is looking to seek new opportunities, invest in rollover equity, transition out of a leadership role, or achieve retirement goals with a succession plan, we can help you preserve your legacy while leveraging growth strategies for long-term value creation.

Entrepreneurs at Heart

As Founder and Managing Partner of Shunga Trails, Richard Kent’s notable experiences and competencies have enabled him to lead diverse teams, adapt to changing circumstances fluidly, and manage complex operations across a dispersed geography.

With an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Leadership from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Richard has been inspired to dream big — and make significant contributions — by his own father starting at a young age.

Bearing witness to the challenges of owning and managing a car dealership in Kansas, Richard grew up to share his father’s inexplicable commitment to pushing the limits to build — and share — extraordinary experiences.

Additionally, courageously surviving critical wounds sustained while serving in the U.S. Army helped him build next-level resilience in the face of a host of personal and professional hardships.
